Welcome to A New Beginning Starts Now (ANBSN)! Founded by Eric McKennie, ANBSN is committed to uplifting underserved communities and empowering youth affected by violence. Through safe spaces and impactful mentoring, we provide opportunities for growth in STEM education, vocational training, essential life skills, and job readiness. Together, we can inspire transformation, break cycles of violence, and build brighter futures for our youth and their communities.
My Story
Eric McKennie spent over a decade as a precinct captain, where he witnessed firsthand the profound challenges faced by underserved communities, particularly their youth. Having grown up in a similar environment, he deeply understood the obstacles these young individuals face, such as limited guidance and a lack of opportunities. While serving as a leader in disadvantaged communities, Eric went above and beyond his duties by spearheading community-focused initiatives, including the development of affordable housing. However, his unwavering passion for empowering youth led him to dedicate his efforts to providing access to critical resources, mentorship, and support systems, enabling them to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.
